Price fall but total tourn over increased.

Despite an initial rises of 118.82 points in the 1st hour, the benchmark index curve has  fall with the gain standing at 36.69 points at the end of the first two hours of trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
The premier bourse's DGEN stood at 5181.94 points around 12.04pm on Wednesday, a 2.34 percent gain from the opening and starts today with positive trend.
However, only an hour later, the index's gain came down to 36.39 points to stand at 5099.81 points around 1pm. Shares worth Tk 2.64 billion changed hands by then with prices of 153 issues rising, 84 falling and 17 remaining unchanged. Stocks turned around on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday, with the DGEN gaining 213.16 points or 4.39 percent to close at 5063.11. The DGEN barely slipped into the green on Monday, following six straight days of price falls. It closed at 4849.95 points, a 3.14 points or 0.06 percent rise from the opening. On Sunday, the index shed 85.49 points or 1.73 percent to stand at 4846.81 points at closing – a 429-point fall over the previous six consecutive working days.
The index closed below the 5000-mark at 4932.3 points at the end of last week.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina sat with stakeholders on Nov 16 after continuous price fall in the two bourses in the country and ordered them to take all steps necessary to stabilise the market and compensate retail investors.
Prices rose over the following five day, but started falling again after the incentive packages were declared on Nov 23. The fall has been continuing over the last two weeks.
The general index lost 303.37 points over the previous week and 136 points in the week before that after the incentives were declared.
